A
delegation from Kiel’s twin city of Vaasa regularly visits the Kieler Woche
and takes part in specialist discussions at the International City Forum. Vaasa
participates in the International Market and the Christmas Market with market
stands and cultural contributions.
Among other contacts at various levels, the Humboldt School maintains a particularly
close link through the intensive partnership of the school with the Vaasa Lyceon.
Women singers from Kiel took part in the International Choir Festival in Vaasa.
This is expected to develop into a new tradition. Renewed collaboration is also
being developed in theatrical guest productions, art exhibitions and joint sporting
events.
