Some facts about the city of Coventry

The English university city of Coventry lies in the Midlands, near Birmingham. Over 300,000 people live and work in this lively, multicultural city.

During the Second World War, Coventry was almost completely destroyed. That is why most buildings in the city are built in the post-war modern style.
Today, the strongest symbol of the reconstruction of Coventry is the new Cathedral, which was built beside the ruins of the old church.
