Mayor Dr. Ulf Kämpfer

Dr Ulf Kämpfer (SPD) has been Mayor of the Land Capital Kiel since 24 April 2014.

The lawyer and Secretary of State of the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Environment won 63.12 per cent of the votes as the joint candidate for SPD, the Greens (Grünen) and SSW in the fifth direct elections for Kiel’s Mayor on 23 March 2014.

Mayor Kämpfer is also responsible for the industry sector at Kiel Town Hall. His department includes the Press and Public Relations Office, the Legal Office, the Audit Office, the Department of Economic Affairs, the Office for Equality and Land Capital Kiel’s investment management company Eigenbetrieb Beteiligungen.
